PROMETHEUS

in greek mythology prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to man, with the use of fire man was able to create tools and begin the developing and advancement of technology, this also led to the creation of weapons and the destructive nature of man to be given new power. prometheus gave mankind power to create and express their nature through technology.

fire gives light and warmth but its nature is elemental and powerful, causing destruction and devestation. just because we can use fire it doesnt mean we fully understand or control it. i thin that fire is an interesting analogy for aspects of mans nature, we have power at our disposal and we can often use that power in a destructive way, anger and violence relate to this.
